Message One company has vast amounts of R&D hours while the other has close to none. AMS is not thriving because of quality parts that they spent time, effort, & money creating. They are thriving because it costs them next to nothing to get carbon copies and they are able to pass the "savings" on to the customer. Let's see how these are holding up years down the road. I got the Megan downpipes because they were cheap and I was on a budget. I don't expect them to last as long as SZ pipes by any means. AMS is not in it to promote competition and camaraderie. They are in it to take make a quick buck while taking advantage of the poor decisions of an aching economy.

Computers are black and white. They are in it to complete processes. Computers have no feelings, regrets, or conscience. There are 2 very important factors in the computer scene:

1) Total cost
2) Total return on investment

These are the same 2 things that run AMS. A stable foundation is everything yet that is one thing that AMS does not have. Instead, they use everybody else's foundation and act as if that is okay.

You have your real companies with quality parts
You have your copies of real companies (i.e. AMS)
You have your copies of copies (i.e. Ebay merchants)

As you go down the line, quality fades because the foundation just isn't there.

Never Play Leapfrog With A Unicorn!!!

Do yourself a favor and just worry about your own car. I don't see what everyone is so worried about anyway. If someone else wants to perform a modification that you believe will destroy the value, cheapen the Z32 or whatever you can't sit on your hands about, wouldn't that make your tastefully-modified, white bread Z32 more rare and valuable? -- BradZ (FL) on December 23, 2007 at 12:19 PM
